A CATHOLIC SCHOOL
Giving Students An Advantage for Life
The mission of St. John Vianney School is the salvation of souls and the formation of saints.
SJV is a safe, dynamic Catholic school where students are surrounded by faculty and staff with one primary goal: to provide an excellent education to students while giving witness to Christ’s love, mercy and compassion. We encourage all students to achieve their maximum potential intellectually, personally, physically and spiritually.
We are blessed with the resources to provide a diverse education that includes many special programs such as art and music, along with class sizes small enough to give each child the attention he or she needs.
Our Programs
Social emotional well being is important in any environment but especially for children who are learning how to interact with one another. At our Catholic School, students learn to apply their faith to their education at an early age.
Our Catholic elementary school is known in our community for setting students up for success when they enter in the high school setting. We offer a rigorous academic education for our students where they learn the foundation that they need to grow in their learning for years to come.
Hear from our community
“I would recommend SJV to other families because the atmosphere for learning is unbeatable. Student behavior expectations are clearly communicated during the early years and through out the six grades; therefore, the entire building operates like a well oiled machine. Both the academics and the social aspects all run smoothly! It’s always reassuring to hear our child say, “Thanks for sending me to SJV!”

Thank you to Lucas and Brooke Maday for sharing their why!
When my husband and I moved from Granada to a farm west of Fairmont before our kids’ second year of preschool, we had to decide where we wanted them to go to school. We talked about SJV, and I will admit we were hesitant at first because we questioned whether a faith based education was what we wanted for them. After careful consideration, we were fully on board. The small class size and the community vibe sold us.
What I love most about SJV are the friendships our kids and our family have built. The people in this community share our values, and that means so much to me. SJV has taught our children so much about themselves and about the Lord.
One of my favorite things is listening to our boys talk about what they are learning through their pretend play. Just yesterday they were pretending to take a trip to South America, and I thought, how do you even know about South America...You are in kindergarten.
I also want to give a big shoutout to Kidstop. That program truly has my heart. It is so special to have an after school space where they can play, learn, and spend time with their friends.
We love SJV, the community, and all the love they give to their youth and families.
